Welcome to The 12 Days of Swiftmas 2023

A moment ago I had an idea pop into my brain…so I asked my fellow iOS devs opinions. Well now we begin Swiftmas!

As someone coming from a drawing background I loved joining in the drawing challenges throughout the year on social media. I assumed there would be the same thing for programmers and in our case iOS development…there wasn’t, at least any I could find. So I decided I’d attempt (with very little time) to create one.

Introducing the inaugural #The12DaysOfSwiftmas 2023

Starting 1st December 2023

And so the challenge is getting prepared as we speak. Are you in?

I’ll post each day’s prompt on social media in the morning around 9am (GMT time). Then about midday i’ll post my attempt everywhere, including here with a more detailed tutorial and links to GitHub for you to download and play about.

I am aiming to include developers of all levels into using SwiftUI. So if you are a beginner or an advanced developer you can join in. The reason I am giving the prompt out first each day is to try and spark some creativity and encourage everyone to try some code out, even if it doesn’t work. For those more advanced, then I know you’ll simply enjoy the challenge of coming up with something!

But for those feeling lost, I will be sharing my own attempts and share my code open source so you can practice, see where I went down the rabbit hole & learn as you go.

For anyone who participates each and everyday I wanted to say thank you and thus I will be sending out via social media, a certificate of completion.

So join me on any of the socials below, from the 1st December I will be sharing everything swiftmas. For those entering don’t forget to tag your projects with #The12DaysOfSwiftmas & feel free to tag me @thecodingsprite.
