Well a good month has been and passed since I wrote an update on where this apps progress is. Life got a bit crazy so sadly I haven’t been able to publish this app just yet. But I do have good news, I am on the testing & App Store listing stage!
So the new function I mentioned in the last update is fully functional! I am thrilled with the work that went into this…still keeping it under wraps for now though. Just know, a lot of data model work & SwiftUI tweaking were needed to pull it off. I have also added an option to mark if the project is “crochet” or “knitting” with a matching icon being shown on the project overview cards.

Next up, was working out the paid portion of the app. I have chosen to make this app fully functional as a free app but with limits like 5 single projects for instance. If you do pay the small upgrade, you also get access to choose two counters & a timer. I decided to implement RevenueCat for the sake of saving my a lot of StoreKit code. Still this took two weeks to implement fully (a lot going on around me too, so not my usual fast speed).

Now I am at the stage of everything being implemented. But before I can publish to the App Store I have to do a thorough bout of testing! Today indeed I have been working on adapting the UI to work for both phones & iPads. To my surprise the first launch on an iPad simulator wasn’t too off. Still a list of things to do, but 2/3rds already fixed. Then onto trying my best to break the app before I can finish creating the App Store listing.
Wish me luck for the Apple Store Review!
I’m hoping my next blog post will be me introducing you to my first & very proudly made application for the App Store. I truly hope it serves great use to many of my crafty friends. I personally can’t wait to be using it! Till next time. 🧚♀️
