About the Challenge

The Creator
Hi, I’m Billie Boo aka The Coding Sprite. I am so proud to bring you #The12DaysOfSwiftmas. After having the idea in November 2023 for a coding challenge countdown to Christmas it was clear. This would be a loved challenge to do.

The Aim of the Challenge
My goal is to allow developers of all ranges to have fun with this challenge. I have concentrated on simple festive prompts that allow your imagination to run wild. For the more experienced developer I am intrigued by your interpretation. I have created 12 simple applications & matching tutorials for the more in-experienced developer & those looking to learn iOS development . Having kept in mind many useful parts of SwiftUI to include within the 12 days along with some repetitive harder functionalities to allow practice to build skills along the way to help build the future generation of programmers.

The Rules
My only rule truly is to be kind, gracious & open to constructive criticism so we can all grow. However for those giving criticism please be kind & only ever constructive. No rudeness, bullying or disrespect will be tolerated.
Each morning (GMT) a new prompt will be shared via social media. Around midday my tutorial & application will be available thus giving you a little time to challenge yourself & come up with some ideas yourself.
When posting your projects please use the #The12DaysOfSwiftmas & optionally tag me @TheCodingSprite I will be keeping my eyes out for all your projects. Those who complete the full 12 days will be eligible to receive a free digital certificate of participation.
