It’s been a while since I last wrote a blog post. Life got real crazy through the end of 2025 and some things changed for me. I want to tell you a little about what happened, the changes in my tech journey and what the future holds.
It all started with some severe migraines. They gradually got worse and my eyesight was struggling. Eventually it got so bad, I started to have horrendous vertigo and was really struggling to be on any tech. After doctors and opticians ran every test it was seemingly nothing wrong with me so to speak.
I have had issues with cybersickness on and off for years. This was on another level. After months of tests and trials. It turns out that my weird brain and eyes just can’t work well with Apple Tech. I believe it starts with their PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology.
After switching to Android and Windows/Linux setups, all my problems dissapeared! I couldn’t believe it. I have tried multiple ways around this issue and I have managed to hook my macbook up enough along with multiple softwares to somewhat control the issue for at least a few hours. This means I can at least continue in App Development which is something I just love.
However during this transition period, I had an oppurtunity and I jumped at it. I have always had a passion for cybersecuirty. I am currently finishing up getting my first full generalist certification before hopefully specialising in Cybersecurity Engineering. The perfect mix for my engineering/programming brain and my passion for keeping people safe in tis brand new scary world of tech.
So now the future plans have somewhat curved rather than that straight path. Will I continue developing for Apple Tech? For now yes. I still have plans to make a few more apps and indeed keep adding features to My Yarn Toolkit. I am also on the side learning Android Development to bring my apps to Android too. My focus is on getting my certifications within cybersecurity. But there is no way i’m letting go of my knowledge and skill of making mobile applications. Whilst I may spend a little less time on mobile apps, I am still creating/programming for fun and doubt that will ever change!
Here’s to the future, however it pans out.
